Ewbank's Auctions

Ewbank’s has established a dedicated classic car auction department, bringing together enthusiasts, collectors, dealers and car club members from across the UK and beyond. Based at its Surrey auction house, the department offers regular opportunities to buy and sell classic cars, vintage vehicles, modern collector cars, motorcycles and automobilia, capturing the excitement and nostalgia associated with historic motoring.

With strong links to the local Surrey classic car and motorbike community, Ewbank’s offers vehicles from a wide range of prestigious and enthusiast marques, including Ferrari, Porsche, Bentley, Jaguar, Mercedes-Benz, McLaren, Alfa Romeo, Austin Healey and Rolls-Royce. Recent auction highlights have included a McLaren MP4-12C Coupe selling for more than £75,000, a 1989 Porsche 911 (964) Carrera 2 Coupe achieving £53,350, and a 1968 Daimler V8-250 selling for £16,250.

Alongside its classic car auctions, Ewbank’s regularly offers an extensive selection of automobilia and motoring collectibles, including scale models, period signs and prints, petroliana, brochures, spare parts and vintage mascots. The specialist team also provides free, no-obligation valuations, probate and estate valuations, as well as assistance with vehicle transportation and storage. Valuations can be arranged at the saleroom or at a client’s home, with the department also attending selected classic car events.

For sellers and buyers, Ewbank’s classic car auctions provide an established route to market for desirable historic and collector vehicles. The department operates competitive auction fees, with seller’s commission of 5% + VAT and buyer’s premium of 10% + VAT for vehicles, while standard Ewbank’s charges apply to automobilia. Specialist transport providers can also assist with vehicle delivery following a sale, making the service suitable for collectors, private sellers and the classic car trade.
