- THIS VEHICLE IS IN OUR STORAGE, VIEWING BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. The Aston Martin V8 Volante and Closed Vantage are hailed as 'Britain's First Supercars' in their day. These versions are the extra powerful versions of the 'normal' V8. Sharper camshafts, higher compression ratio, larger intake valves and larger carburettors mounted on new manifolds mean that they are even comparable to cars like the Ferrari Daytona in straight-line performance.This 'Matching Numbers' V8 Volante reached the end of the production line in the spring of 1982. Painted Ravens Black, with a 'Natural' interior with matching piping and also on the convertible top, the first owner opted for the 'Natural' option. The car was completely repainted some time ago in the very stylish original colour and is therefore in optimal condition.The car was originally delivered in America but only drove 23,000 kilometres there until 2007. The car returned to Europe a year later and was built to European specifications, with beautiful chrome bumpers and an odometer instead of mileage that was set to 0 for the occasion, as the second start of its life. The car has therefore driven very little, the counter is now at 96 kilometres. This very little use is also reflected in the original interior upholstery and carpet, which are in beautiful condition. Both original and clearly reflecting the condition of the car. The typical 1980s dashboard with all instruments and meters is also beautiful and fully functional. Where most interiors in cars at that time mainly consisted of black plastic, leather, stylish glossy wood and chic carpeting were chosen here.Under the hood is a 320 hp V8 coupled to an automatic transmission, the three-speed Chrysler Torque-flite. The great 5,304 cc measuring DOHC engine is also the original. The powerhouse does its job formidably and the potent character of this large V8 is more than clearly present. Matters such as the chassis and brakes are also in a condition that cannot be faulted.
