1979 Volkswagen Super Beetle Convertible

There is something truly timeless about slipping behind the wheel of a classic that tells a story with every mile. The 1979 Volkswagen Super Beetle Convertible captures the essence of carefree days and open-air freedom, a symbol of automotive simplicity and spirited driving. As the last model year for the original Beetle sold in the USA, this car represents the closing chapter of an era that changed automotive culture forever. Its gleaming silver paint and manual convertible top invite you to relive nostalgia with every drive, making this Beetle an essential addition to any collector's garage.

Step inside and you are greeted by a cabin that balances vintage charm with well-maintained comfort. The black vinyl seats look nearly new, offering a smooth, tactile feel that complements the classic dashboard layout. Clear gauges keep you informed, while the carpet and mats hold the promise of a good cleaning to restore that fresh-car vibe. The steering wheel shows just minor wear, reflecting the care this car has received through the years.

Under the hood, a 1600 CC flat-four engine equipped with fuel injection delivers a smooth, easy start and a healthy rumble that is unmistakably Beetle. The 4-speed manual transmission offers direct, engaging control for those who appreciate a hands-on driving experience. Drum brakes on all four wheels, manual steering, and a clutch that shifts smoothly combine for a driving experience that's straightforward and authentic, keeping you connected to the road and the car's heritage.
