In 2011, the underbody was treated with Tectyl by the Dinitrol Center in Leeuwarden, and the original sunroof controls were replaced, including new roof sweeps. The original headliner is perfectly dry, including the one around the sunroof. Other extras include an electrically adjustable right-hand door mirror, a Halon fire extinguisher, and a set of coconut floor mats. The 280 CE has been excellently maintained; a service was performed just 1,800 km ago, including two new tires, a new battery, and a periodic vehicle inspection (MOT). The bearing bushing in the automatic transmission was also replaced, and the shift points were adjusted. At 109,081 km, the cylinder head was overhauled and the exhaust manifold was replaced. The exhaust was then replaced during the MOT. The valves have just been adjusted and the brake fluid changed.
