MG MGA Roadster in the colour Old English White! The very sleek body with neat fit looks beautiful in Old English white. The design of the MGA still captures the imagination, a very elegant line with beautiful curves. The original dates back to the early 1950s when MG designer Syd Enever drew a streamlined body for Le Mans driver George Philips. At the time, it was driven with the chassis of an MG T-Type which proved unsuitable and, before the MGA went into production, a completely new chassis was designed. The interior of this example was finished in a distinctive red colour, a nice combination with the white bodywork, the beautiful original clocks in the sleek dashboard completes this car. Technically a delightful classic to drive and, thanks to excellent comfort, extremely suitable for longer journeys. This classic features a 1500 cc engine. At its introduction, this 1489 cc four-cylinder engine produced 68 hp, enabling a top speed of around 155 km/h at the time. Known for its reliability and smooth character, the engine came not only in the open roadster, but also in the coupe version of the MG A. Het oorspronkelijke dateert uit de vroege jaren 50 toen de MG ontwerper Syd Enever een gestroomlijnde koets tekende voor Le Mans rijder George Philips. Destijds werd er gereden met het chassis van een MG T-Type welke niet geschikt bleek en alvorens de MGA in productie ging werd er een volledig nieuw onderstel ontworpen. Het interieur van dit exemplaar werd uitgevoerd in een uitgesproken rode kleur, een mooie combinatie met de witte carrosserie, de schitterende originele klokken in het strakke dashboard maakt deze auto helemaal af. Technisch een heerlijke klassieker om mee te rijden en dankzij een prima comfort uiterst geschikt voor langere ritten. Deze classic beschikt over een 1500 cc motor. Deze 1489 cc viercilinder motor was bij de introductie goed voor 68 pk, wat destijds een topsnelheid van ongeveer 155 km/u mogelijk maakte. De motor staat bekend om zijn betrouwbaarheid en soepel karakter, hij werd niet alleen in de open roadster, maar ook in de coupe-versie van de MG A geleverd. De combinatie van het lichte gewicht, de viertraps handgeschakelde versnellingsbak en de levendige motor zorgt ervoor dat rijden in een MG A 1500 nog steeds een plezierige en authentieke ervaring is.
