1987 Aston Martin Vantage

Description
Stratton Motor Company is proud to offer this exquisite 1987 Aston Martin Vantage Volante X-Pack one of the most coveted open-top grand tourers of its generation.

Few cars capture the romance of the road quite like this. Beneath its elegant lines lies one of Aston Martins most potent powerplants of the era the legendary X-Pack V8. Uprated with larger carburettors, enlarged valve ports and reprofiled camshafts, it delivers a mighty 410 bhp. Even today, those figures are enough to quicken the pulse; in 1987, they were nothing short of extraordinary.

To harness such power, Aston Martin equipped the X-Pack with larger ventilated brake discs and lower-profile tyres, ensuring the performance was as composed as it was thrilling. The coup version stormed from 060 mph in just 5.3 seconds, and while the Volante is marginally heavier due to the additional bracing of its convertible chassis, it offers much the same intoxicating pace accompanied by the unmistakable soundtrack of a hand-built V8.

This example is a feast for the eyes: immaculate Cumberland Grey metallic coachwork perfectly complemented by a sumptuous Mushroom leather interior with black piping, set off by rich, high-gloss walnut veneers. A black mohair hood and smooth automatic transmission complete the specification.

First registered in October 1987, it has covered just 72,820 miles in the hands of seven careful keepers, and comes with a comprehensive history file the majority of its maintenance entrusted to Aston Martin Works at Newport Pagnell.

Presented in outstanding condition, this Vantage Volante is not merely a motorcar, but a piece of British motoring heritage. It will be supplied fully serviced, with a 12-month parts and labour warranty and RAC Roadside Assistance and Recovery ensuring that your ownership is every bit as reassuring as it is exhilarating.
