Description

Estimated Price: £0 - £0
  • Founded in Casalecchio di Reno near Bologna, Berneg debuted its first motorcycle at the Milan Trade Fair in 1955
  • That model, the Rainbow, was powered by a 158cc twin-cylinder, overhead-cam engine designed by FB Mondial engineer, Alfonso Drusiani
  • Advanced all-aluminium engine designed with an integral four-speed gearbox (cast-iron cylinder block)
  • Later models, such as the Fario, featured a 173cc evolution of the same unit
  • By 1959, only the Fario 175 and Sport remained in production
  • Berneg ceased trading in 1962, having always maintained a reputation for high build quality
  • This, circa 1957 super rare Fario 175 model is presented in good overall, older restored condition
  • Was running last year, dry stored since then so may require some light recommissioning before use
  • Not currently registered but is on the NOVA system
  • Great addition to any Italian motorcycle collection
  • No other paperwork included
  • Being offered without reserve
