The 1966 BSA A65T Thunderbolt is an iconic British touring motorcycle celebrated for its reliability and touring capabilities. It was a pivotal 'unit construction' model engineered to dominate the mid-1960s North American export market
Unlike its twin-carburettor, sportier sibling - the A65L Lightning - the Thunderbolt prioritised simplified maintenance, smoother low-end power, and effortless distance riding
Powered by Triumph's legendary 654cc air-cooled, OHV parallel-twin offering 46bhp and 104mph
This example is a home-market bike finished in Flamboyant Blue, understood to have been built in mid-1966 but not registered until 24/05/1967
It presents well with a gentle patina of use and has been fitted with a trials seat, however, the original seat will accompany the bike
Not been used in the last year, so may require some light recommissioning prior to use, but we understand was running and riding prior to storage
Supplied with a current V5C (correctly classed as Historic), some old invoices and MOTs, along with a spares list and Haynes Manual
An excellent entry into the world of BSA 1960s big twins
